This client came to us at the start of this year with a huge plan, thoroughly thought out with massive action to back it up.
As usual with all our clients, we ask to see the following before engaging with running any kind of paid advertising:
For paid advertising to work, you have to be working on all aspects of your business, not just setting up ads and hoping you get sales.
We have a checklist of duties as part of our onboarding journal that clients are required to do on a consistent basis in order for this process to work.
As you can see, we had a soft launch in March/April to ensure that all of the below was working as we needed.
The last thing we want to do is break the system early on, leading to scaling back spend.

At times, after this point, you may need to re-evaluate your strategy.

Fortunately, due to the client resources and due diligence in the set-up process this wasn’t needed.
In April we did just under £24,000 in sales. Not bad for a first month. A lot to improve on still.
We moved onto May, instruction from the client was to scale…So, we did.
We work with all our clients over an onboarding period to ensure they have all this together before we launch.
A massive return, a huge customer base and a successful Q2.
We spent £219,912.03 on ads and returned £720,947.57 in sales giving the client an attributed ROAS (return on ad spend) for the Quarter of 2.92.
Overall ROAS was at 3.27.
In Q2 we finished with £720,947.57 in sales and 32,936 orders.
A conversion rate of 6.85%, showing us that the back-end marketing channels we had set had been working like a dream. With the client profitable at a 1.8 ROAS we are well ahead at this point.
Once thing to note, this was during the lockdown period. If you spent any time in the market during this period you’ll realise sales went crazy. We expected to see a drop going into the following months.
Common sense will tell you this will happen. We now entered Q3, in a very unpredictable time. We discussed a strategy with our client before moving into Q3 to ensure we’re all on the same page.
We managed to return £527,202.51 throughout this quarter with each of the months returns looking like this:
This left us with an attributed ROAS of 2.00 and an overall ROAS of 2.26.
Finishing with a conversion rate of 4.51%.

Leading to one very happy client, especially during what was a very testing time for everyone. The dreaded red was a predicted drop due to the climate, one that still sat this client well in the profit.
As you can see, we now have a very consistent marketing channel and a brand that is performing years ahead of their initial plans. We’re excited to see just how this client does over Q4.
A huge Black Friday, Cyber Monday and Christmas period has already been planned. Let’s see if we can beat that record month of nearly 400k?
