We used the onboarding process for this client as an opportunity to have an in-depth look into other competitors within this busy market space. Pairing these findings with what we also learnt about our customers, we were able to craft a bespoke launch strategy with specific copy and content to suit hand-picked audiences within the top, middle and bottom campaigns of our funnel.


Optimising What Already Works


As well as launching our own strategy, it was essential that we optimised what was already working here. As this client had already had success with their own ads, they had a huge amount of data for us to work with. A large part of our launch plan was to also take a look inside the account, be inspired by existing performing audiences, and ensure the account was optimised to the highest standards.


We adjusted budgets on top performing ad sets, switched off ads that simply weren't working and ensured we made appropriate room for launching our new ads.

Our Ongoing Strategy

As we started working with this client in January 2020, we had a full year ahead of us to test and experiment. It was great to start work on this account in the New Year as we could well prepare for every key trading period, ensuring our approach was just right for each. Q1 is quiet for sales and special occasions, especially for this client's industry, so we used it as an opportunity to test new audiences and creatives.


Over the last two years, we have tested a huge amount of audiences, brand new copy, raw and edited creatives. We have worked through two Black Fridays and Christmases together, as well as working together throughout the entire pandemic and discovering how to make that work for us.


Over the years, we have discovered that our key target audience is:


Males and females, based in the UK, aged 18 - 45, interested in shopping, fragrance, and luxury vehicles.


We tested a total of 375 ad sets in 2020/21,.


We added new copy and content to the account on a weekly basis. We learnt that the tone of voice for this brand was modern, casual and somewhat masculine. We do have an audience from both genders, however our more masculine and informal TOV has always converted better with customers than anything we have tested with a more feminine feel.
