About Threadbare

Beginning a successful partnership

Threadbare came to us in December 2021 in need of growth-oriented expertise across their marketing channels, focussing on paid advertising as well as email and SMS marketing. They wanted to build a consistent and instantly recognisable brand with an elevated aesthetic and unique branding.

Over the last 2 years, we’ve created and worked with them on a tailor-made strategy for paid social ads, paid Google ads and retention marketing.

Threadbare have seen record-breaking results across their channels and we’ve been able to scale them to new heights, boosting their sales figures and site visits considerably.

Beginning a successful partnership

When we began our partnership with Threadbare, we set the goal of pushing their revenue to the next level, in a profitable manner over the long term. We identified that we needed to focus our attention widely across their funnel in order to grow the brand:

We introduce a data-driven approach to marketing. We don’t just throw sh*t at the wall and see what sticks (ie testing for the sake of testing).. We test to learn with every creative we push live, to achieve meaningful and actionable results.

If you want to scale your revenue, you’re going to need to scale your ad creative to enable growth in the most efficient way. Your ad spend per day will dictate just how much creative you need.

Most brands out there don’t realise how greatly copy can affect your ad results. This isn't just copy in your ads but also part of your creatives. Think headlines, hooks, USPs, offers etc- and how best to catch the eyes of your audience.

Absolutely key. Learn from what works and create more. Learn from what doesn’t work and save time and effort instead of creating similar assets that won’t perform.

We also worked closely with Threadbare to grow a consistent retention marketing strategy, including:

Nurturing customer retention

  • Regular email campaigns to maintain a constant presence in inboxes, segmented by audience engagement and purchase history to create a targeted, personalised interaction with each and every subscriber.
  • Regularly optimised automated email flows to target every stage of the customer journey, from the initial sign-up through to abandoning a browse/checkout, making first-time and repeat purchases, and further nurturing subscriber loyalty with loyal customer rewards and birthday treats.
  • Replicating this for their SMS marketing presence, meeting customers where they’re most likely found (on their mobile devices) and encouraging them to view the latest collections and utilise discount incentives.

Store sessions up by 1.4K% in the last 2 years

BFCM 2023

Our second Black Friday of the partnership saw incredible results, with Threadbare seeing over £94k in revenue and over 2.5k orders over the BFCM weekend (Friday 24th to Monday 27th).

Over 54k store sessions took place during this timespan, with new and returning customers eagerly shopping their Black Friday, Black Saturday, Black Sunday and Cyber Monday sales.

These began by pushing 15% off, increasing to 20% off on Sunday and Cyber Monday, alerting customers across their marketing channels with flash deals and urgency messaging.

Threadbare is now moving into the festive period with an influx of new customers- we cannot wait to see what the remainder of 2023 has in store for the brand.
